How to apply

Details of specific projects will be provided in June and applicants will be asked to provide:

  • a cover letter to explain why you are interested in joining Biomedical Science Doctoral Programme, indicating the research areas of interest. 
  • CV (you will find the template in "Files to Download" section below).
  • Names of referees in the field of biological sciences, their contact numbers and their position who can comment on your abilities and understanding of the biological sciences.
  • OAS application for admission to the programme printed from an individual OAS account and signed by the candidate- OAS website - the Jagiellonian University Online Application System.

Academic requirements:

a) a diploma certificate of a degree of Master, Master Engineer or equivalent in a field of study from among those indicated in the detailed conditions of recruitment, or

b) a diploma of completion of studies abroad, giving the right to enrol in a course of doctoral studies in the issuing country or recognised as equivalent to the appropriate Polish diploma confirming the qualifications of the second degree;

If the candidate has not yet been issued with such a diploma by the deadline for admission, he/she shall submit a certificate of completion of such studies and a written undertaking to provide the diploma of higher education entitling to enrol in a course of doctoral studies within the prescribed deadline.

We will recruit early stage researchers (ESRs) in an open call, targeting the most talented and motivated ESRs in the fields of Biological and Medical Sciences. The recruitment process will adhere to the guidelines set in the code of conduct for the recruitment of researchers and the European charter for researchers, ensuring transparency of the recruitment process based on the merit and skills of applicants. The recruitment process will not discriminate applicants based on their personal features.
