ViroGenetics Team from the JU Malopolska Centre of Biotechnology is a member of CARE consortium, Europe’s largest initiative to accelerate therapy development for COVID-19 and future coronavirus threats.

The ViroGenetics Team from the Malopolska Centre of Biotechnology, leaded by Professor Krzysztof Pyrc is part of the European initiative to tackle coronavirus, Corona Accelerated R&D in Europe (CARE).

CARE is a five-year project supported by the Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI). With a funding exceeding €75 million, the consortium is bringing together 37 partners from globally renowned academic institutions, non-profit research organizations and pharmaceutical companies. The initiative is committed to create effective therapies with a positive safety profile for the COVID-19 pandemic and future coronavirus threats.
