Leader of the Photobiology Laboratory at the Malopolska Centre of Biotechnology Centre of Jagiellonian University
 

Dr. Justyna Łabuz graduated in plant biotechnology from the Faculty of Biochemistry, Biophysics, and Biotechnology of Jagiellonian University. She continued her studies at Jagiellonian University and obtained a research grant to prepare her Ph.D. thesis from the National Science Centre in the PRELUDIUM1 contest. Since December 2015, Dr. Łabuz has been employed at the Małopolska Centre of Biotechnology of the Jagiellonian University, where she has been carrying out several research projects, including SONATA8, OPUS13, and OPUS21 from NCN. In 2017 Justyna Łabuz received the Giulio Jori Research Scholarship from the European Society of Photobiology (ESP) to complete a research stay at the Laboratory of prof. John Christie, University of Glasgow, UK.

Our three main areas of research are; photobiology, in particular the impact of short wavelength radiation on plant physiology, issues related to the interaction of light with plant leaves and the development of software tools for Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM).
