Contest for the position of Postdoctoral Researcher (Protein chemistry) in the Laboratory of Bionanoscience and Biochemistry MAŁOPOLSKA CENTRE OF BIOTECHNOLOGY (NCN Symfonia – NZ)

Rector of the Jagiellonian University announces a contest for the position of Postdoctoral Researcher (Protein chemistry) in the Laboratory of Bionanoscience and Biochemistry MAŁOPOLSKA CENTRE OF BIOTECHNOLOGY (NCN Symfonia – NZ).

The laboratory of bionanoscience and biotechnology is an ambitious and expanding research hub for synthetic biology/bionanoscience and is now actively recruiting postdoctoral research scientists.
 
The ideal candidate should:
1) Possess a PhD degree in biochemistry, chemistry, biological chemistry or a related field
2) Have strong experience in protein cage/VLP production and characterization
3) Have strong experience in mammalian cell culture especially delivery of protein nanoparticles to them.
4) Knowledge of standard molecular biology techniques for cloning, expression and purification
    of recombinant proteins would be an advantage
5) Have good written and oral communication skills in English
6) Be able to work in a multidisciplinary team and be willing to expand their skills into new areas
7) Have good skills of work management
8) Must not be more than 7 years since awarding of PhD (not including allowed career breaks such as child-rearing etc).
