Requirements:
The selection procedure is open for all individuals, who meet the requirements set out in Articles 113 and 116.2.4) of the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science, and who meet the following eligibility criteria according to § 166 of the Statute of the Jagiellonian University:
• holding at least a doctoral degree;
• having relevant scientific achievements;
• taking active part in scientific life
Additional requirements and expectations:
1. Experience in cultivating plants for research.
2. 2 Basic experiences in the field of molecular biology such as DNA and RNA isolation, and molecular cloning.
3. Skills in protein expression and protein analysis such as western blotting are preferred.
4. The ability to analyze plant metabolites by liquid chromatography will be appreciated.
5. Strong motivation to learn new knowledge about plant transporters.
6. Independence in performing experiments.
7. Good speaking and writing skills in English.
8. Meet the requirements under the Regulations on awarding funding for research tasks funded by the National Science Centre in the scope of research projects, including:
a) obtained a PhD degree within 7 years before employment in the project. This period may be extended pursuant to the terms laid down in the Types of costs in research projects funded by the NCN.
b) obtained a doctoral degree in an entity other than Jagiellonian University or must have completed a continuous and evidenced post-doctoral fellowship of at least 10 months in another institution than the host institution for the project and in another country than the one in which they have been conferred their PhD degree.
