Competition for the post of a ASSISTANT PROFESSOR in the research staff in (Peptide synthesis, protein purification, molecular biology), (Team, FNP) at the Bionanoscience and Biochemistry Laboratory

Rector of the Jagiellonian University announces a contest for a ASSISTANT PROFESSOR in the research staff (Expert) (Peptide synthesis, protein purification, molecular biology) in the Laboratory of Bionanoscience and Biochemistry at the MAŁOPOLSKA CENTRE OF BIOTECHNOLOGY (FNP TEAM)

The Bionanoscience and Biochemistry Laboratory is recruiting for a fully-funded position with a duration of up to 17 months for the post of a ASSISTANT PROFESSOR in the research staff. The successful candidate will join a project that aims to design and build novel DNA-based nanomachines able to interact with specific proteins and help construct artificial cells and cell like structures, particularly they will be involved in designing and synthesizing peptides using solid state techniques. 
 
Who can apply
The competitive selection process is open for all individuals, who meet the requirements set out in Articles 113 and 116.2.3) of the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science, and who meet the following eligibility criteria according to § 165 of the Statute of the Jagiellonian University: 
i) Holding at least a doctoral degree;
ii) Having relevant scientific achievements; 
iii) Taking active part in scientific life;
 
and meet the following detailed requirements
 
1. Possess a PhD in chemical engineering, structural biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, biophysics or related discipline
2. Must have core competencies in solid state peptide synthesis
3. Have good skills of work management and experimental record keeping 
4. Should be able to work well in a multidisciplinary team
5. Have good written and oral communication skills in English
